• Melmar contains 35 rooms (including bathrooms) plus 30 closets (not including cabinets of vanities) occupying 10,318 square feet of above ground living space including 11 Bedrooms, 9 Bathrooms, 11 Fireplaces (plus 1 pellet stove), 2 Kitchens, 2 Movie Theaters (plus an outdoor "Drive In Movie" screen), 2 Game Rooms, a Home Gym, a Music Studio, a Craft Room, 2 Offices, 2 Laundry Rooms, 96 Windows​​, 126 Doors - many of vintage solid wood - with patina'd vintage lacquered brass hardware including 250+ solid brass ball tip hinges, 50+ mortise door locks with crescent thumbturns, 90+ octagonal glass doorknobs, 70+ lacquered brass doorknobs, and all new high end cabinets and hardware, countertops, fixtures and appliances.

 

• The Main level features 11 ft ceilings with the exception of the completely renovated South Wing which has 18 ft ceilings, and the Servants Wing with 8 ft ceilings. The Gourmet Kitchen was recently completely renovated including two 10ft Picture Windows, a lighted Walk-in Pantry, a breakfast area, a large overhang island, unique leather matte granite and butcher block countertops atop custom hand-crafted, solid hardwood mortise & tenon beaded inset cabinets with hand-sanded dovetailed drawers​ and premium soft close hardware fitted with high end fixtures including a Kohler 33" workstation kitchen sink mated to a Kohler kitchen sink faucet with two-function spray head.  The new kitchen features all top-of-the-line appliances including a built in Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, a Wolf range with 2 ovens, 6 burners plus an infrared char-broiler/grill, and infrared griddle, a Wolf ventilation hood, a built-in stainless steel Drawer microwave oven, a Fisher & Paykel Double DishDrawer dishwasher, and an Insinkerator garbage disposal.  The rear wall of the Great Room consists of a floor to ceiling Window Wall with folding glass panels that enable an unobstructed 18 ft wide opening to the outside deck, and automated window shades for shelter from the sun.  The TV area includes a wall mounted 85" smart TV with LED surround lighting, and a built in LED ribbon fireplace backed by a stone tile facade. Connected to the Great Room is a full Bathroom featuring a porcelain tiled zero threshold shower with a 48 in linear drain and a large dressing area. 

• The West Wing of the main level includes a Drawing Room/Library, His & Her Powder Rooms, and the Formal Dining Room that can seat up to 40 guests with two fireplaces and a built-in lighted China closet.  A 2 1/2" thick, 8 ft tall solid wood pocket door connects the Formal Dining Room with the rest of the main floor.  

• The East Wing of the main level contains a Ball Room (aka The Throne Room), a Movie Theatre (aka Melmar Theater) with a concession area, a Tavern ((aka Melmar Tavern) and a Music/Game Room.  There are five pairs of 9 ft tall glass panel French doors in the East Wing, with three opening to a covered mahogany Portico and two connecting with the Ballroom. 

• The Servants Wing includes a Butler’s Kitchen complete with a built-in 146 bottle Sub-Zero wine refrigerator, an under counter Sub-Zero ice maker, and a 2nd dishwasher, a Utility/Laundry Room, a Mud Room, a covered outdoor entry/Porch, and a Back Staircase that can be locked off from each of the three floors. 

• A 3 story Grand Stairway with a leaded stained glass window wall and two vintage crystal chandeliers leads to the 2nd level. ​

 

• The 2nd level has 9ft ceilings with four custom archways in the main hall, each with a chandelier and decorative custom wood trim, as well as five pairs of 18 panel glass French doors with two leading to a 2nd floor covered outdoor Terrace, two to the first 2nd floor sundeck, and the other to a second 2nd floor sun deck

• The East Wing of the 2nd level includes a 1400 sf Master Suite which boasts 3 fireplaces -in the Bedroom, Sitting Room, and Office-, a Carrera marble Master Bathroom with a private toilet/bidet room both with heated marble floors, and a large Dressing Room complete with a built-in custom closet system and its own chandelier.  The Master Suite also has direct access to a covered outdoor Terrace in the front, as well as an uncovered Sun Deck in the rear.

• The West Wing of the 2nd level includes two Guest Suites each with private baths, their own fireplace, and direct access to an outdoor terrace via a pair of glass French doors.  One of the guest baths has a basket weave marble shower and floors and contains a vintage cast iron claw foot tub.  A 2nd floor Laundry Room equipped with two washers and two dryers is adjacent to the Home Gym/Loft area that overlooks the Great Room below with views of the rear grounds from the Great Room Window Wall.​

 

• The 3rd level contains another six Bedrooms/Multipurpose Rooms, two Bathrooms, a 2nd Game Room with a loft overlooking the Grand Stairway, and a large 60 sf walk-in closet. One of the bedrooms, as well as the Game Room open to a large outdoor Sun Deck.​

 

• The 4th and 5th levels are not included in the 10,318 sq ft of living space.  However, the floored attic and unfinished Basement offer another 5000+sf of combined space for a total indoor under roof floorspace in excess of 15,000 sf

• All flooring in the home has been either replaced or refurbished
