  • Joe Walsh owned a 1964 Maserati 5000 GT Allemano 4sp when he wrote the Eagles hit song "Life in the Fast Lane" where he proclaimed "My Maserati does 185....".  It actually didn't, his car  only had a top speed of 168mph!

It wasn't until 2011 with the GranTurismo MC Stradale's 188 mph top speed where you could go into a dealer and order a Maserati that could "do 185".

Currently a GT MC Stradale, QP GTS, and the Granturismo Sport (the Mach Five vehicle) models are the cars in the Maserati lineup which can do 185...

Disclaimer:  Both of these projects are ongoing Father & Son collaborations that are just for fun. While we are doing our best to document as accurate information as possible, there is a lot of conflicting data out there - even with AI - especially regarding old guitars.  If you notice any errors, or have any suggestions on how we can improve our collections and/or web site, you can reach out to us at m5carsandguitars@gmail.com
